THE BIOLOGY CURRICULUM at ¶¶ÒõPro is interdisciplinary and exposes you to chemistry, physics, molecular biology, ecology, and biochemistry — essentials of the future of scientific progress. In our organismal and microbiology labs you’ll get up close and personal with the organisms that you are studying.
Small class sizes are a key part of the ¶¶ÒõPro experience. You will have a close relationship with faculty members who will be standing by your side as you begin to explore the worlds within your microscope.
You’ll also be exposed to interactive and problem-based learning in classes and labs, as well as through optional internship or research. A broad range of opportunities allows you to explore your interests, whether in a research lab or in an environmental role.

Competitive Pathways at ¶¶ÒõPro
You can apply to ¶¶ÒõPro’s Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) or Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) program as a student in ¶¶ÒõPro’s Health Science or Biology bachelor’s degree program. Our Competitive Pathway Program for select undergraduate programs could allow you to start on your graduate coursework while completing your first degree or move past the competition with a guaranteed interview to a ¶¶ÒõPro specialty program.
Competitive Pathway: 3+3 Biology-Pharm.D.
¶¶ÒõPro has partnered with the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) to launch a new 3+3 program that creates a pathway for qualified ¶¶ÒõPro students to earn a bachelor’s degree in biology and a Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) in 6 years.
The program maximizes the time and investment of students by providing a path to complete their studies a year ahead of schedule, saving up to a year’s tuition in the process.

Research Internship: CancerControl Alberta
Caitlin Sweet ’19 obtained a full time summer research position at the Department of Cancer Epidemiology and Prevention Research within CancerControl Alberta based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The team of research scientists are engaged in cutting-edge population-based cancer research including etiology, molecular and genetic epidemiology, and biostatistics with a focus on modifiable lifestyle, occupational and environmental risk factors for cancer.
Caitlin worked for Cheryl Peters, is an occupational hygienist and epidemiologist. Peters’ research focuses on the impact of carcinogenic exposures occurring in workplace and community environments.
